Enes Kanter after his double double in his return from back spasms: "I was just so hungry. I just wanted to go out there and bite somebody's ear off."

STARS OF THE GAME
FIRST STAR GOES TO ENES KANTER. THIS TEAM’S HEART AND SOUL. YOU COULD SEE THE ENERGY ON DEFENSE AND WHEN THE KNICKS SET UP THEIR OFFENSE. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HORNS SAID WAS MISSING IN THE PREVIOUS THREE LOSSES WHEN KANTER WAS LAID UP WITH A BAD BACK. FORGET THE STATS HIS EFFECT ON THE GAME WAS DOMINANT.
SECOND STAR GOES TO COURTNEY LEE. LEE HAS TRANSFORMED FROM A THREE POINT SHOOTER TO A DO EVERYTHING OFFENSIVE PLAYER. HE’S DRIVING, PASSING, SETTING SCREENS AND SHOOTING FROM ALL OVER. AND HIS DEFENSIVE INTENSITY HAS STEPPED UP A NOTCH. REAL PROFESSIONAL PLAYER WHO SHOWS UP AND PLAYS HARD.
THE THIRD STAR HAS TO GO TO MICHAEL BEASLEY. BEASY STEPPED IN WHEN THE UNICORN WENT DOWN AND CONTRIBUTED ENERGY AND OFFENSE. HE WAS READY WHEN CALLED ON AND THAT’S ALL YOU CAN ASK FROM THE WILD CHILD FORWARD.
HONORABLE MENTION TO DOUGIE MCBUCKETS. BUCKETS CUTTING AND MOVING ON OFFENSE IS SOMETHING I DID NOT KNOW HE HAD IN HIS GAME. HE’S ALWAYS BEEN A THREE POINT SHOOTER BUT NOW HIS GAME HAS STEPPED UP A NOTCH IN HIS RFA YEAR. GOOD FOR HIM — AND US.
