SINGLER WAS CONSIDERED A GOOD MATCH UP FOR THE KNICKS IN A COURTNEY LEE TRADE..   OKC SAVES 20 PLLS MIL OFF THEIR LUXURY TAX BILL WITH THIS MOVE.   OKC HAD TO MAKE THE CUT TO GET THEIR PAYROLL UNDE CONTROL  FOR 2018/19..

I EXPECT THE KNICKS TO MAKE A MOVE ON CUTTING JOAKIM NOAH AFTER SEPTEMBER FIRST.  TO RECAP, AFTER SEPT FIRST THE KNICKS CAN STRETCH NOAH’S REMAINING YEAR  (2019) OVER THREE YEARS AND SAVE 12 PLUS MIL OFF THEIR 2019 CAP — SPACE THEY CAN USE TO PURSUE A MAX FREE AGENT.

KP ISNT EXPECTED BACK UNTIL NOVEMBER AT THE EARLIEST SO I DOUBT AN EXTENSION IS SERIOUSLY BEING CONSIDERED BY EITHER PARTY

KNICKS AND KP HAVE UNTIL OCT 31st TO HAMMER OUT AN EXTENSION AFTER WHICH THEY WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL JULY 2019 BEFORE REENGAGING ON A LONG TERM CONTRACT.    WE’VE SEEN SUPER STARS TAKE LESS YEARS TO INCREASE THE PRESSURE ON MANAGEMENT TO MAKE MOVES..  I AM CURIOUS IF KP DOES THIS AS HE HAS SAID (THRU HIS BROTHER MOSTLY THAT MONEY IS NOT HIS KEY CONCERN.

KP HAS ALREADY DONE MORE THAN ENOUGH TO DESERVE THE FULL MAX.  AND THE TEAM DOENT REALLY NEED HIM TO TAKE LESS AT THIS STAGE OF HIS CAREER.  MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE MOTIVATED TO  LOCK UP THEIR FRANCHISE PLAYER FOR A LONG TIME.  BUT AFTER THEY MAKE A RUN AT A FREE AGENT OR TWO THIS SUMMER
