Here’s to our Brothers across the Bridge who while they lost the game last night to the Hawks are still hanging on down 3-2 in a series no one gave them a chance of winning. Friday Night in Brooklyn BETTER be a raucous crowd.
The nightmare for the Portland Trail Blazers started last night when the Grizz beat them 99-93. The chatter about LaMarcus leaving started immediately following the game and will certainly get louder over the weeks ahead. Instead of putting out the fires of doubt surrounding his future he fanned the flames with his first comments – “I’ll cross that bridge later on” – Sounds like a man who is already across the bridge.
Aldridge didn’t have a great series but he has a history of performing at a high level in the playoffs so this year can be excused – especially given the fact that he’s been playing hurt all year. Aldridge is expected to be suited by the Lakers, Knicks and Spurs according to ESPN and of course the Blazers will have their say. I think the odds favor him coming to the Eastern Conference for an easier path to the Finals. It should prove for an interesting summer of debate on Talking Knicks and in the NBA. With that we raise the LAMARCUS METER to 29% with the prospect of him coming to NY higher than ever.
