What’s New – May 9, 2018

LOTS OF GOOD COMMENTS HEARD AT THE INTRODUCTORY PRESSER YESTERDAY.

MOST  IMPORTANTLY, FIZ SAID HE HAS LEARNED HIS FIRST STINT AS A HEAD COACH.  THAT’S ALL WE CAN ASK.

IN THE MSG POST PRESSER INTERVIEWS AL TRAUTWIG ASKED BOTH FIZ AND PERRY IF THERE WAS ANY LINGERING FEELINGS BETWEEN K.P. AND THE ORGANIZATION.   PERRY OF COURSE DENIED AN ISSUE AND FIZ NATURALLY SAID WHAT’S IN THE PAST IS PAST.  HE PLANS ON VISITING PERSONALLY EVERY PLAYER ON THE ROSTER THIS SUMMER.

GOOD TO SEE FOUR PLAYERS IN ATTENDANCE. MUMU MAY BE FIZ’S PET PROJECT.  GETTING HIM RIGHT SHOULD CEMENT HIS REP AS A DEVELOPMENTAL COACH. FIZ SPENT TIME WITH LARRY BROWN DURING THE PAST YEAR I’M SURE COACH BROWN WAS IN HIS EAR ABOUT MUMU — LARRY WAS ALWAYS A FAN EVEN WHEN HE DIDNT GO TO SMU.

GOOD TO SEE TREY BURKE IN ATTENDANCE TOO.  AND LANCE OF COURSE IS ALWAYS THE GOOD SOLDIER.   QUINN NO DOUNT HAD SOME TIME BETWEEN BAR MITZVAH APPEARANCES.  WHAT HAPPENS WITH QUINN IS A BIG QUESTION ON THE HORIZON – HE HAS AN OPT OUT AVAILABLE AND HAS UNTIL JUNE 30TH TO MAKE A DECISION.
